David T. Shaw

David T. Shaw began his legal career in Eutaw in 1993, first as a law clerk and then as an associate attorney, before joining Walter Griess to form Griess & Shaw, P.C. in 1997. Three decades later, his practice still centers on the people of Greene County and the surrounding region.

David maintains a broad practice covering civil litigation, criminal defense, real estate matters, probate, and family law — the full range of legal needs a West Alabama family or business encounters.

He is deeply invested in the local justice system: he was instrumental in creating the 17th Circuit Drug Court program in 2008 and continues to serve on its team, serves as City Prosecutor for the Eutaw Municipal Court, and sits on the Board of Directors for Community Corrections. He is a member of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
