Biography

Walter A. Griess began his legal career after earning his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law (1974). He served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Birmingham (1975–1976), then relocated to Eutaw in 1976 to begin private practice. From 1977 to 1992, he also served Greene County and the 17th Judicial Circuit as County Solicitor and Assistant District Attorney.
